THE TSP COMMUNITY WORKSHOP
Currently TSP is looking for our forever home in the Brooklyn, NY area.
We hope to open an inclusive creative workshop where we can reimagine, repurpose and reinvent, not only New York City's discarded materials, but the way artists create.
THE SPACE WE NEED
TSP is currently looking for an industrial space of at least 3,000+ square feet. We have already received material and equipment donations that have overflowed our 100 square foot storage space and equipped us with a complete woodworking shop.

Our future workspace will include a wood working shop, paint storage, tool storage, individual artist work stations, classrooms and offices.
ARTIST STATIONS
TSP plans to create 10 individual artist work stations. Each station will be equipped to store current projects and materials purchased from us as well as creating easy access to the tools and supplies that our creatives need. These stations will allow our members to work and maintain their own space while they are renting from us and protect the projects they are working on. While renting from TSP, creatives will have access to our machinery as well as our tool inventory.
MEMBERSHIP OPPORTUNTIES
TSP will provide different levels of membership opportunities to our workspace. These will be delineated by rental duration. Artist Work Stations will be available to rent by the hour, day, week or month. Each membership opportunity comes with different perks. Please see our membership page linked below.
ACCESS TO MATERIALS
The Scrap Pile wants to be a place that can provide every scrap an artist could need at a discounted rate. With our different levels of membership our creatives will have access to all the scraps that are being given a second life.
CLASSES AND EVENTS
TSP will be able to offer classes and safety training that will educate our creatives and the public not only in new crafts but in workshop safety. These classes will range from scenic painting and carpentry to construction classes aimed at creating personal projects like picture frames or side tables. Our class rotation will also include specialty safety trainings on machine and tool safety and specific tool use. With a variety of classes available, membership with TSP will be another huge incentive for creatives which will include workshop and class discounts.
